Meeting with 71st Precinct on Safety

We met with the Officers of the 71st Precinct to discuss new safety programs in the community. They are aware of the situation and has put several initiatives in place.

In addition to their internal initiatives, we as a community could assist in many ways. Copies of the flyers that were distributed throughout the community are on the Yahoo site that you could read, print and share. We are in the process of forming our Civilian Observation Patrol (COP) a neighborhood watch to support this effort.

Spring is Here! Once again the opportunity to peak behind closed neighborhood doors and visit private gardens can be yours on Sunday, June 1st, 12 Noon to 5 PM. Tour houses and apartments are located on Ocean and Lefferts Avenues; Midwood, Maple, and Hawthorne Streets; and Rutland Road.
