Make a Day of It
Spend the day if you are coming to Prospect Lefferts Gardens for the House Tour! Our community got its name from our good neighbors. Our western edge is Prospect Park-—home of the 1912 Carousel, Lakeside Center, the Audubon Center at the Boathouse, the Prospect Park Zoo, and the Lefferts Historic House.

Immediately to the north is the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, which will be in full bloom, and farther north are the Brooklyn Museum and the central branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. PLG is at the heart of the best that Brooklyn has to offer. So come for the tour, but spend the day!

We Need Your Help

It takes the coordinated efforts of many volunteers to help make this event a success. We hope you can help by being a tour guide* and/or contributing food for the refreshment area.

If you live in Prospect Lefferts Gardens and are interested in volunteering to be a tour guide, contribute refreshments, or otherwise help with the House Tour, please contact the House Tour team at plghousetour@gmail.com.

*Tour guides are assigned to a house, usually one per floor, and help supervise and guide the visitors. They work one of 2 shifts, either 12:00-2:30 or 2:30-5:00.
In exchange for 2 ½ hours of their time, tour guides receive free tour tickets. Although the tour closes to the general public at 5PM, there will be an extra hour from 5PM to 6PM for guides to see the houses.
