PLG Arts is launching a membership drive this Friday, November 22nd from 7-9 PM with a cocktail party at the Inkwell Cafe (408 Rogers Avenue, between Sterling and Lefferts).

PLGArts is presenting a perfect summer evening of the Arts in Prospect Lefferts Gardens this Thursday, July 11, 2013.
The events begin at 6pm at Tugboat Coffee Company, 546 Flatbush, with an opening reception featuring the landscape paintings of local artist Noel Hefele. The show is called Pictures of You. Noel evocatively captures the beauty of familiar landscapes, some nearby.
At 8pm, The Andrea Wolper Trio will perform at the Inkwell Cafe, 408 Rogers, Andrea is a giant singer with an appealing musical vision.

The Tugboat Tea Company

The show will run from April 2—30 and will feature the work of twenty four local artists in many media, including paintings, sculpture, photographs, drawings, and prints.There will be a reception on Thursday, April 4th, from 6 to 9 PM which will be an opportunity to meet many of the artists. This show is the beginning of a collaboration between PLGArts and the Tugboat Tea Company. PLG Arts will curate monthly solo and group shows at this venue featuring neighborhood artists.

Jazz saxophonist Matt Silberman has been playing and writing music since he was 6 years old. Brooklynite Matt has performed with jazz luminaries including Billy Higgins, Nancy Wilson, and Roy Hargrove, and has led his own group since 2001. At the Inkwell, you’ll hear him perform his original compositions.

FStop Brooklyn, a new Prospect Lefferts Gardens based photography group, presents its first show at our local wine store, 65 Fen (between Flatbush and Bedford Aves.). The show is sponsored by PLGArts, and features the work of local PLG photogaphers: Grahame Conibear, Matthew Donohue, Sheryl Foster, Marcia Lloyd, Bob Marvin, David Medieros, and Paul Morin.
